Does life feel like it’s moving at lightning speed? Are you carrying burdens that weigh heavy on your heart? Imagine setting aside just 30 minutes this weekend to pause, breathe, and reconnect with God—gaining clarity, peace, and renewed strength.


That’s the heart behind Sabbath Rest O’clock—a simple yet powerful practice to help you reset, release, and realign with God’s vision for your life.


What Is Sabbath Rest O’clock?


In January, I introduced this practice with a video, as a way to embrace intentional rest. Now, as February rushes in, I want to encourage you to continue applying it.


It’s easy to get caught up in the busyness of life, but when we make space for rest, God meets us there—offering clarity, hope, and renewal.


How to Practice Sabbath Rest O’clock


Set aside 30 minutes this weekend and follow these four simple movements, each accompanied by a worship song of your choice:


1st Movement – Worship Start with a worship song. Sing along, let the lyrics sink in, and allow yourself to fully engage. Worship is a powerful way to shift your focus, reduce stress, and feel God’s presence.

2nd Movement – Burden Reflection Take a moment to reflect. What’s been weighing you down? What worries, stress, or struggles are you carrying? Acknowledging them is the first step to releasing them.

3rd Movement – Prayer Talk to God. Ask for His help in lifting your burdens or strengthening you to carry them. Open your heart and invite Him into your challenges.

4th Movement – Give Thanks Close with gratitude. Thank God for this time of rest, for His presence, and for any clarity you’ve received. Consider journaling your thoughts, you may be surprised by the insights that come when you pause to listen.
